862-5160. From the planetarium to the child-sized Curiosity
Corner to ever-changing blockbuster exhibits, the Adventure
Science Center provides unique opportunities for discovery
for both children and adults. Live science demonstrations
and animal shows daily. Current shows include the following:
BodyQuest takes them through a day in the life of their
bodies, where they see and interact with oversized organs
and systems, perform some of a doctor's duties, and can
see what they would look like when they are seventy years
old. PlayMotion takes the children's movements and projects
them into three interactive backgrounds: The Solar
System; Spectral Bodies and Virtual Water. You have to see it to
believe it. The Adventure Tower provides activites for
the kids in each of the museum's five disciplines: earth
science; creativity and invention; sound and light; air
and space; health and energy. BlueMax is a thrilling jet
simulator presented by MTSU's Aerospace department. (additional
fee applies). Admission is $7.95 for adults and $5.95 for
seniors and children ages three to twelve. The Adventure
Science Center is open Tuesday through Saturday 10:00a.m.
- 5:00p.m. and Sunday 12:30p.m. - 5:30p.m. NOTE: The Sudekum
Planetarium is closed until May 2008. The old planetarium
is being torn down to make way for a state-of-the-art facility.

CHEEKWOOD BOTANICAL
GARDEN AND MUSEUM OF ART
As always, every Saturday from 10:00a.m. until noon there
is an art activity for little ones that costs only $1 for
the materials. July classes include Red White and YOU,
Fantastic, Fairy Tale Fun and Christmas in July. All these
programs at Cheekwood are meant for casual dress so you can
make stress-free messes. Open Tuesday
- Saturday 9:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. and Sunday 11:00a.m. - 4:30p.m.

FRIST
CENTER'S ARTQUEST
244-3340. 919 Broadway. ArtQuest provides hands-on and computer-related
activities at approximately 30 ArtStations, which relate
art concepts to Frist Center exhibitions and examine ways
in which art relates to everyday life. The activities in
ArtQuest cover three areas of art education: Art Essentials,
Art Materials and Techniques, and Art and Meaning. There
are also opportunities to record your experiences in an
ArtQuest Journal, or to create a digital portfolio of the

NASHVILLE CHILDREN'S THEATRE
Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, Nashville Children's
Theatre provides imaginative and educational entertainment
for children. It was named by Time magazine as one of
the top 5 children's theatre programs in the nation.

Two of the 2007-2008 season's favorite plays are brought
back for summer repertory performances. Friday shows
